Nobody is in charge
Your developer moved on, or your agency closed. Your host keeps the server running, but the site itself is your problem.
For small businesses with no tech person on staff · US, UK and NZ
We update your plugins every week, back up your site every day and watch it for threats. Each month you get a written report of what we did. One fixed price, reply times in writing, no calls, no contracts.Weekly updates, daily backups, a written report every month. One fixed price, no calls, no contracts.
Our promise, on every plan Your site is backed up every day, and each plugin and theme update saves a restore point first. If an update we run ever causes an issue, we fix it free.
The problem
WordPress needs regular care. Plugins and themes get new versions all the time, and many fix security holes. When nobody is in charge, small problems grow.
In 2025, 91% of new WordPress security holes were found in plugins. Attackers also go after older holes, hoping to find sites that haven't been updated.
Your developer moved on, or your agency closed. Your host keeps the server running, but the site itself is your problem.
Some owners pay every month and can't see what was done. Others pay for every small request. You should get a fixed price and a record of the work.
Waiting can mean a hacked site, lost leads and a rushed repair bill.
The fix
Rest Easy Web takes WordPress care off your plate. We run the updates, keep the backups and watch for threats. Each month you get a plain report that shows what we did.
You keep full ownership. Your site stays with your host, and you keep your own admin access.
Sample report (example data)A full sample report. This is what lands in your inbox each month.
Our note: A normal month. One gallery plugin update failed our checks in week 3, so we rolled it back straight away and applied the fixed version in week 4. Nothing needs your attention.
Sam, Rest Easy Web
What's included
Most of these come with every plan. Small edits come with Growth and Commerce, which also include malware clean-up.
WordPress, plugins and themes. If a plugin or theme update fails a check, we roll it back. If a WordPress update causes a problem, we restore your site from backup.
Daily encrypted backups, stored off-site and kept for 50 days. We restore on request.
We check WordPress, your plugins and your theme for known security holes every 6 hours and lock down common weak spots. A firewall blocks attacks on known security holes, even before a fix is released, and blocks known bad IP addresses at your login page. We also scan a copy of your site for malware every day.
We check that your site is up, your security certificate (SSL) is valid and, where available, when your domain renews.
A plain written summary each month of the updates we ran, your backups, your uptime and our security checks. Sam adds a short note listing anything that failed or was rolled back, and what we did about it.
Your site is backed up every day, and each plugin and theme update saves a restore point first. If an update we run ever causes an issue, we fix it free.
Text, images and settings changes. Growth and Commerce plans only.
Email or ticket, with a reply time we put in writing.

How it works
Step 1
Pick a plan and pay online. Sign-up takes minutes, no call needed. Setup starts once you send the form in step 2.

Your access, explained
Handing over your website takes trust. Here is exactly what we ask for and why.
We use our own separate admin account, which you can delete any time.
We never ask for your main hosting login or your own WordPress password.
We remove our admin account when you leave. When you cancel, we delete our copy of the SFTP login and ask you to remove it from your hosting panel (we'll send the steps).
Plugin and theme updates save a restore point first and roll back automatically if a check fails. Your daily backup covers everything else.

No, your site stays with your current host. We need a separate admin user on your WordPress site, which you create for us (never send us your main hosting login or your own WordPress password), permission to install a small monitoring plugin, and your hosting and domain kept active. We also need a separate SFTP or FTPS login for us, which you create in your hosting panel (your host can help), so updates can be rolled back safely. When you cancel, we delete our copy of the SFTP login and ask you to remove it from your hosting panel (we'll send the steps). You can delete our admin account at any time.
Some hosts only allow one file login per site. If yours is one of them, there are two options. (1) Use your site's own file login with a fresh password you set just for us (never your main hosting login), and change it again when you leave. We'll send the steps for your host. (2) Or go without file access: we still back up your site every day and keep your plugins and themes updated, but updates can't roll back automatically, so if something goes wrong we restore that day's full backup instead. If your site is completely down, that restore may need your host's help, so it can take longer. We never ask for your main hosting login or password.
No security setup can promise a site will never be hacked. If we find malware, we tell you in writing and work to clean it up: one clean-up a year is included on Growth and Commerce, and it's $299 on Essential. If your site is already hacked when you sign up, on any plan, we check it first and send you a written quote before we start.
Growth includes up to 60 minutes of small edits a month and Commerce includes up to 3 hours. Send the request in writing. Each task should take about 30 minutes or less. Unused time does not roll over.
